Destinations & Dates:

All trips are personally planned for and with participants;
Main destinations are the mountains and plains of the Moroccan Sahara
as well as Spain, particularly the wilder regions of Andalucia and Murcia
are on the agenda.

Airports:

Marrakech:
The magic of Marrakech is legendary and I know the Souk inside out;
from there we will discover the Tichka pass at 2600m altitude towards
Ouarzazate in the Moroccan deep south; heading on towards the Sahara:
mountain paths, wide plains, sand dunes and my especially chosen
'Spaces and Places'. Ideal for tours of around 10 days.

Ouarzazate:
The capital of the High Atlas, it is right at the cross-roads of many desert
destinations. The advantage of arriving at Ouarzazate compared to
Marrakech is the saving of two days of road-travel across the Atlas range.
You will simply get quicker to my 'Spaces and Places'. Recommendable for
8 day trips and for those participants who want to spend more time on the dirt
tracks in the typical Saharan ambiance beyond tour-operator routes.
From here longer trips can also be imagined.

Agadir:
From Agadir it is easy to organise 8-10 day trips through a great variety of
terrain. Main theme here is the Atlantic coast; deserted tracks along the
breathtaking Plage Blanche and it's 40km of white sand to drive on
during low-tide alongside majestic sand dunes. Camp in the dunes and
discover small fisherman's huts all along the coast until Tan-Tan, the gate to
the western Sahara. Also we can undertake excursions into the nearby
Anti-Atlas mountains from Tiznit to Tafraoute which are an
inexhaustible source for 'Spaces and Places'.

Dates:
Due to sizzling temperatures during summer, the Moroccan south is better
avoided. Autumn and spring are best suited but also winter offers great
possibilities. Although the nights can be chilly, winter travelers will be
rewarded by an exceptionally clear horizon that only the winter light has to
offer. There is also less chance of wind during that period.
